Customer Review: Pretty Nice Lamps for the Price

My girlfriend and I were looking for a new set of lamps for the living room. We searched all around town, and certainly found lamps we liked, but most started at $200 a piece ($400 for the pair). We found other quality lamps that were smaller then these for around $150 to $200 for the pair.
We were concerned about ording these lamps as shipping was about $50, and to return them we would have to pay shipping back, if we did not like them. The seller was not able to provide us with a better quality picture of the lamps and the image online was not very good. So we felt there was some risk, but we had a $50 coupon for Amazon.com and were not able to find anything else we liked locally in our price range.
We went ahead and ordered the lamps. The first warning sign was that shipment tracking indicated the shipping weight was 18 lbs, whereas the online item description was 50lbs. We assumed if they weighed that much that they must be a quality lamp. So we were concerned and the seller promptly explained to that they charge that way to ensure proper packaging and in case anything goes wrong in shipping, they can correct at no charge to us.
As it turned out, the shades arrived slightly crushed, and sure enough, the seller ordered a new set and delivered them a few weeks later, at no charge to us. The lamps themselves are very nice. Certainly not of the heavy quality of lamps costing $200 a piece, but very nice and of very decent quality none the less. The online picture is a fairly accurate image of the lamp base. The shade color however is not what we expected. It has a rust-like color online, but is really more of a reflective gold sparkle. Almost has an olive green tint to it. I find it difficult to describe such nuances in color, but just be aware that the shades do not have the rust-like color that you see online. While the shade color online is part of what attracted me to these lamps, I think I like the actual color even better, and it certainly works better in our living room.
