I sent this as a gift to someone in Los Angeles. She really liked it, but it eventually died. It was pretty finicky, but the one year she had it the blooms were very nice. It's supposed to be good for her zone, but she's not a great gardener or anything. The plant appears to be fairly healthy...some minor leaf damage (insect perhaps?).
I read online that keeping your newly arrived plant between 60-65 F at night and 65-70 F during the day would be advisable to prevent shock. After the plant acclimates, then tempertures between 70 and 85 F would be best (from spring to fall). These plants can handle down to 45 F ...which means it must come indoors here up north for the winter.
