Customer Review: good for outdoor apartment balcony

I live in a high floor apartment in a warm climate. This dryer is doing a good job. Treating it gently i hope it lasts. It is light but stands well. Needs protection from strong winds. I try to balance load and use it mostly for jeans, towels and pieces that take longer to dry in dryer. The top part opens and closes easily, i leave the bottom part standing open.
Once out of the box it is sort of intuitive but it took me a few minutes to figure out that the top umbrella section had a short piece of cord tied around it which prevented it from opening. Remove that cord and it opens easily.
It's too bad that Amazon does not ship (except books ...) to Puerto Rico, so i had to buy it somewhere else. More expensive but good service too.

This portable umbrella clothing dryer from Whitney Design offers energy saving extra clothing drying space. Dry clothes the natural way with this indoor or outdoor clothing drying rack. It features tripod base allowing it to be moved as needed. It has a 2-piece aluminum center post with a snap lock. The vinyl clothesline provides 64 feet of drying space in 3 sections with six lines each and is pre-strung and is ready for immediate use. The tripod base extends to 52-inch to provide stability. When not in use, the dryer conveniently folds. The dryer opens and closes with one single action. When set up, the dryer measures 52-inch wide by 52-inch deep by 72-inch high.
