This Stow-Away Ironing Board (15x35) w/ Built-In Look Natural Cabinet by Whitney Design. This Semi Built-In Ironing Center by Whitney Design is a great alternative to a truly built-in unit. Since it rests on your floor and not your wall, your floor is bearing the weight. Therefore it only requires 2 bolts to install. It is cut-out to fit over your existing baseboard. This cabinet was designed for comfort and ultimate functionality with a handy shelf, pull-out iron rest & 4 different height adjustments. The sliding cabinet door stays out of the way while ironing. Place it where it is most convenient for you to do your ironing. Available in white as well as unstained natural to finish it to match your particular decor! Note the Pictures in Sequence:(1) The ironing center when it is installed and in use. (2) What the board looks like when it is stored in the solid wood cabinet. Slide open the door to get access to the ironing board. You need 36 inches of wall space for the cabinet and the slide open door. (3) Once you slide open the cabinet, a lever will open up the board. (4) Once open you have 4 adjustable height options. (5) This is the -guts- of the unit. (6) For even more convenience, you have a pull-out iron rest so the iron does not burn your clothes or the board. (7) When you are done it is as easy to place the board back it the cabinet as it was to put up.
This custom looking Ironing Center is easy to install. Set the unit on the floor, slide the door open and mark where the two bolts go. Drill a pilot hole and then ratchet the bolt into the stud. If you have plaster, brick or block walls then you will supply the appropriate hardware, but after that it is just as easy to install.
Cabinet Size: 43.5H x 17.75W x 5.5D - Board height adjusts from 35 to 38.5 inches high - Ironing board is 15W x 35L.
