Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Whirlpool LRF4001RY Fabric Freshener System, Removes Odors, Relaxes WrCustomer Review: Far from what i exepected. Summary: 2 StarsTo be honest, i meant to use this thing just for the shirts , so i wouldn't have to iron them - can say i'm happy. The pants clips are useless as pants just fall down. The name is right - it's just a freshner, not so good for getting rid of wrinkles. I would like to return it, but i've paid for the shipping already and if i pay for return shipping i will lost 1/4 of the money i've paid. I feel sorry for myself.
Customer Review: Good Luck with this thing Summary: 1 StarsI own this product. The water cups which come with it lasted three cycles. Replacements are $4.99, and have been on backorder for 3 months. So I have this useless thing taking up space in my house.
Customer Review: Great Product but a few gotchas Summary: 5 StarsI purchased one of these and I love it - if Hotels had these (see previous review) I would stay at the ones that included them in the room since I travel a lot. The water container must be securely seated to work properly and it only comes with two clips for straightening out shirts - since it holds two shirts at a time I would order two more.
I just recently returned from a month long trip and put all of my suits and shirts (2 at a time) in the Freshener and they all went straight to the closet! Wish they had these back in the days where everyone smoked anyplace; including my office and conference room!
Customer Review: GREAT!! Summary: 5 StarsI didn't expect much but everything so far has came out great and you can order extra clips at whirlpool.
Customer Review: One Flaw Summary: 3 StarsThis would be a five-star item, were it not for one serious flaw. It comes with heavy clips, a.k.a. Tension Weights, much like heavy, giant bag clips, which you can attach to the bottom of a shirt, or pants, to help straighten out the wrinkles. You know the wrinkles that stretch horizontally across the back of a shirt after it's been worn? These clips are great for helping get rid of that. HOWEVER, the clips that came with my Fabric Freshener could not withstand the heat and fell apart after a few uses. If only Whirlpool would redesign these clips, which are made mostly of a soft plastic which starts to warp in a critical place, where plastic tabs grab the axle about which the clip pivots. In the meantime, I'm looking for a substitute. Pants hangers with the bars that clip onto the bottom of the pants legs are a start. They work with shirts, but they are too big for pants because the pants hang too close to the bottom of the appliance.
