Do NOT buy this machine! I bought the Duet washer and dryer in March of 2009 and the washer never worked properly. It would lock the clothes in, not spin properly, not rinse properly, was loud, etc., etc., etc. I've had three service calls--good thing I had a master protection plan. The first call was because it wasn't rinsing, smelled like burning rubber while spinning, and kept locking. That service guy tried to tell me it was the Tide HE detergent and that it suds up too much. Then he "cleaned" the pump by pulling out a single thread he found in there and said that was the problem. A few weeks later, after things got much worse, another guy came and ended up replacing the pump. It still didn't work properly, even though I'm the only person using the machine for light to medium loads. When it began making a louder creaking noise and stopped spinning for lighter loads, I called again and the repair person said it needed a whole new basket and whatever holds that in place--basically the whole interior. Turns out, it had always been bad. I decided to replace the machine, since it's under warranty, and they didn't even put up a fight. I got mine at Sears and they don't carry this machine anymore. (Wonder why.) I'll be happy to get that machine out of my hair!
