We bought the Whirlpool Duet HT pair 15 months ago. For the past two months, the washer has been failing intermittently with f70/f71 errors. The washer door must be kept open when not in use to prevent excessive mold growth/smell. Even so, frequent "clean" cycles are necessary.

Yesterday, the washer failed again with the f70 error. It will not restart.

A class action suit has been brought against Whirlpool for the mold issues with this model:
