I have been a regular user of the Waterwise distiller for many years. Love it. However, I bought the new 4000 with the glass jar and find that the container is completely useless: badly designed, poorly built. Vastly inferior to the plastic predecessor. Check out Mr. Hughes' review above. He says it succinctly and accurately. The 4000 was not broke but Waterwise fixed it with a new glass container. One suggestion: Amazon is selling the plastic containers. The old containers work well with the new machine.
Description of Waterwise 4000 Water Steam Distiller - Glass Jug / Container
Distillation effectively removes contaminants such as bacteria, particles, dissolved solids and VOCs. Ordinary tap water is heated to 212°F, (100°C) killing bacteria, cysts and viruses that may be present. Steam rises leaving behind dissolved solids, salts, heavy metals and other substances. >>> Using your Waterwise 4000 is very simple.
