I was looking for a replacement for my Sears water distiller and did some research. The WaterWise 4000 had all the features I liked PLUS it has a glass container!!!! I really recommend it. Waterwise 4000 Water Steam Distiller with Glass Jug / Container"Expedited" shipping got the Waterwise 4000 Water Steam Distiller here the next day in perfect condition. It replaces the old Waterwise 5000 model and I am overjoyed with the company's improvements including taking only 4 hours to distill what use to take six hours. Lemon juice is the easiest and cheapest way to keep it clean- just let it sit, in between uses, with a little lemon juice and water on the bottom. i like this distiller. the water has great flavor and it removes all impurities. my only issue is it takes about 5 hours to filter 1 gallon.

We absolutely love this product. Getting it set up initially took a bit of time, but after that it's really easy to use. Some of the other reviewers found it noisy - but it just sounds like a very low air cleaner, not unpleasant at all. The water is really pure - no taste, (water is not supposed to have a taste). We add concentrated minerals for health benefits, which can be purchased at health food stores. We make two gallons a day and usually find that it takes under 4 hours to make a gallon. We fill the boiler to just under the full marker, so it's easier to pour out of the collection bottle.
