UPDATE in March 2010- it's now been 3 years and the two beds are still in LIKE NEW condition!
i just wanted to write a quick note to potential buyers- this is a GOOD bed- for the price, it's a GREAT bed! we have two lab/ shepherd mixes (both over 50 lbs) and they LOVE them!
the beds have wood (maybe cedar?) chips in them along with some fluff (that could prolly use some refilling from time to time) and to ensure lower maintainence, we've thrown fleece blankets over them, but they've NEVER disappointed our dogs yet.
again- great buy for the price, but may not be practical for pure lab sized dogs and bigger.

No, it's not beautiful, but we've washed it maybe 20 times, and it's holding up. This has never happened before. So amazed with this dog bed - I actually ended up buying 3 because the cost was so amazing! I have a boxer and a dachshund, both who are big into their beds. I'm amazed that the beds lasted longer than 5 minutes, as my boxer usually makes his bed a chew toy! These beds have been through several washes and boxer attacks and still look brand new!
