This blender is the best investment I've ever made in a piece of kitchen equipment. It's used at least twice a day in our home - usually more. I definitely wish it was quieter, but we're willing to put up with the noise because the thing is so useful. There are more expensive models that are quieter and have more speeds than the two this unit has, but this unit gave us exactly what we wanted at a fair price.
