Customer Review: If I could marry it I would.....
Summary: 5 Stars

First off, I bought mine in 1997 with the intention of just trying it out for a month and returning it for a full refund if I didn't like it. And for it's price, I really thought I wouldn't like it enough.

Man, was I wrong! I've had mine now for 8 years and I can honestly tell you I've used it AT LEAST once a day. I make baby food, I make frozen yogurt, I make smoothies, I make frozen coffee treats, I make juices, I make soups, I grind whole grains to make fresh flour and even breads with mine(I bought the dry blad container as well to do the breads and grind grains).

I can honestly say my diet has become MUCH healthier and it's so easy to just fill up on fresh fruits and vegetables by juicing the VITAMIX way. I went from just juicing fruits to making alot of veggie-fruit or veggie juices at this point that really work great! I notice the difference in terms of my energy, health, hair/nail/skin, and weight when I'm Vitamixing juices alot in my daily routine.

Do yourself a favor a buy yourself this product-it's easily my most cherished appliance in my kitchen and it really promotes a healthy diet for all family members!

Customer Review: Impressed
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm new to being vegan, and even newer to making green smoothies. It was tough for me to shell out the dough for an appliance as common as a blender, especially when I already own a magic bullet and love it, but after receiving it, I understand why it costs what it does and why it's worth the money.

As I said, I already own a magic bullet, which I still love for what it can do...easy cleaning, and it does pretty good job of pureeing, except, when it comes to veggies or flax seeds the bullet will frequently leave chunks, which has an unsatisfactory effect on my gag reflex. I would put whole kiwis in and get chunks of unblended skin that got caught in my teeth, I'd put in soup and the skin of the potatoes would remain whole, etc. Then, I heard that the vitamix would completely liquify whatever I put in it. I bought one on impulse vowing to return it if it didn't work.

It did. It did everything they promised.

So far, i've put whole kiwis, flax seeds, chia seeds (and you know how small those are!), even a whole lime INCLUDING the peel. The result was not gritty or grainy, but smooth and completely liquid. I was astounded. I even put in a whole avocado seed, and it completely pulverized it to liquid (must add water). When I poured the liquid into my blenderbottle, it had a smooth consistency. A completely homogeneous liquid (for you nerds out there :-)).

A more amazing thing I discovered is how long the smoothie stayed well-mixed. When making smoothies with my magic bullet, the smoothie would seperate into it's individual components if left in the fridge for several hours. Smoothies made with the vitamix remain completely homogeneous for 7 hours, at least. That's the longest I've tested it to date.

If you're going to get into green smoothies, or you're simply tired of unsatisfactory blending, this will be the last blender you buy.

Customer Review: LOVE IT. $$$$ but worth every penny!!!!!! I own 5000 model
Summary: 5 Stars

Yes it is pricy but the best gadget I've bought in a long time. I have to say it is more like a "life tool". I LOVE IT. What others are saying is true and not hype. It cleans itself! I tried it next to my cuisinart blender and then gave away my blender. I had stuff all stuck in the hole in the bottom of cuisinart. This VM makes everything easy! I started with just fruit 4 weeks ago and now am into vegi soups with raw vegi, etc. Did I say I love it! I know this sounds like hype but if you are into eating anything raw or into vegi drinks - you have to have this. Forget a new cell phone or computer. Did I mention the SOUPS and smoothies! Dips take a minute! Margaritta anyone! A breeze. I'll stop here and will be back. I bought mine for same price at a Costco demo. The demo sold me. If there is an extra warranty card included, fill it out. I've heard they are great with repairs if you need one. People have this tool over 10 yrs!

Customer Review: Love it! Worth it!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great blender! Yes it is expensive, but it is worth it! If you just want to make the occasional smoothie you might not want to spent that much, but even if you did you would find it well worth the money. And probably the only blender you will ever need to buy, it is strong and it lasts. You can make your own flour, it can blend all parts of apples, etc, skin and all. You can make hot soup, just by using the blender nothing else. And with the same machine you could make ice cream. There is millions of uses and it is super strong! I very highly recommend it!

Customer Review: Love the VitaMix
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had a used one which I bought from eBay and have used it for years when it decided to give up the ghost. This new blender I bought from Amazon.com is the newer version and is really perfect! Although it's not the stainless steel kind I still love it. I smoothie a lot and this puppy will surely be used. So far it works great! The price is great and the free shipping is an additional plus.
