I bought this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend, because he likes gadgets. I mostly thought he would enjoy the thought, but probably never really get into using it. I was wrong. He loves it and says it turns average wine into something to recommend to your friends.

The Vinturi wine aerator is a terrific wine accessory. It aerates red wine (they have one for whites but we haven't tried it). This gadget will make most wines taste better. Plus it's fun to use!Customer Review: A matter of taste?

In our blind tasting of two reds (a Januik red "table wine" and a Giacondi Sangiovese-Merlot) all four of us strongly perferred the non-Vinturi pours. We felt the bouquet and flavor was drastically diminished in each case. These wines aerated nicely on their own after about 15 minutes in the glass with no loss of quality that had occurred with the Vinturi device. Thus, we give it a negative review for the adverse impact it had on our two test pours.
