Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Vidalia Chop Wizard

Customer Review: Danger danger danger
Summary: 2 Stars

It looks like nothing more than a cell phone. Say, one day you're doing food prep and testing the parameters of reality when you feel a need to accept a free-floating vibe coming over the aether. You pick this up, it's large cell phone shape denoting the importance of the incoming groove, and you chop the side of your face. Bring down! A sudden field of cross-hatched wounds gout blood and everyone goes home after maybe putting a compress on your suppurating injury.

Customer Review: Delivery lousy
Summary: 1 Stars

I cannot rate this item as it has been sitting at UPS for over a week in one spot. Then 2 days ago I tracked it and it stated "out for delivery" and was within 20 miles of me. Be careful about the shipping when purchasing this item. I was told by UPS that they will "leave it at our post office by permission of seller". Mine has sat now many days and let,s face it, when it is 20 miles away for 2 days that is ridiculous. I do all my shopping online, as I am disabled, and will hesitate buying from Target or whoever is suppose to be the seller for this item, plus in order to post this item, you have to give it a "star". I hope it gets here someday so that maybe it will deserve a star. No star for delivery, for sure.

Customer Review: Didn't work for me
Summary: 2 Stars

This thing was a pain to use. I bought average sized onions. It couldn't cut through them. It made mush of the first few layers of it. It did dice a baby carrot well. If I need to cut things the size of a baby carrot to use this, then really it's not worth the time. It was not easy to clean. The little rake made cleaning the top piece easier, but it was very difficult for me to clean the blade. I am returning mine and will just use a knife.

Customer Review: Disappointment
Summary: 1 Stars

I'm leary of gimmicks, but ordered this after seeing a fairly good review of it on the Today Show. Big disappointment. The onion stuck to the grate; didn't chop evenly and it took so much pressure to push it down and then it didn't close all the way. The onion was partly chopped and a significant portion unchopped, all in a mess in the holder.

I tossed it in the trash. A waste of money.

Customer Review: Does the job and is high quality
Summary: 5 Stars

Absolutely does what it says it will do - easily chops veggies into uniform pieces (great for onions). Worked easily, cleaned easily in the dishwasher. Is nicely made, too; not some cheap plastic gadget. We were pleased with the quality.
