Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Vidalia Chop WizardCustomer Review: Best gadget ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this thing three years ago and have used it a zillion times since. I always cut the onions and peppers in half, and have never, ever had a problem chopping them.
In fact, I dropped the cover and it got stepped on before I could pick it up, so I haven't had it for about two months.
After cutting up peppers and onions with a knife for turkey chili the other day, I've decided I can't function in my kitchen without it, so have just ordered another one. Hell, I might just order two, just in case!
Customer Review: Best kitchen gadget I EVER bought! Summary: 5 Stars
This item is not the flimsy, breakable item you saw in stores back in the 80's.
WHAM, and you're done!
I can now chop a whole bag of onions in two minutes, takes WAY longer to peel them than to chop 'em!
Cleans up quick, with the little "finger tool' they provide!
A product you WON'T be sorry you bought!

Customer Review: Best onion chopper I've ever owned Summary: 4 Stars
The is the best onion/vegetable chopper I've ever owned. I use it for both onions and zucchini. Having two different sized blades is a great feature. My only complaint: Since I don't have a dishwasher, this item is sometimes a pain to clean - it's hard to get all the little pieces of onion skin off the blade and lid.
Customer Review: Best salad maker on the planet Summary: 5 Stars
I use this every 3 or 4 days to make a huge bowl of salad. It's fantastic at chopping onions, carrots, radishes, celery, cucumbers, peppers, and anything else with crunch characteristics. It will even chop nuts in SMALL quantities, enough to add to breakfast cereal if you like nuts chopped.
It can sometimes require more pressure than is comfortable. In that case, reduce the amount per chop. A small child can chop one radish at a time but even her mother would have trouble with 7 on the cutting bed at once. That elementary concept was beyond the grasp of those who gave this bad reviews.
Likewise we need to cut onions to manageable size first. The machine has visible limits to the width and length of the chopping block, but you need a brain to tell you there's a height limit that's less. This will chop things 3" wide and 3" long but it takes a special person to expect this machine to chop something 3" high.
If everything did it's job as well as this, what a fine world this would be.
Customer Review: Best thing ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I just love this chopper! I am really into making salsa from my garden and this handy chopper is great! Last year I used a food processor and it took forever. Now with the Vidalia Chop Wizard I can make up the salsa in half the time. It goes thru onions, roma tomatoes, green peppers I even use it when I make pasta salad and it works great with black olives. Clean up is so easy, it's very sturdy and chops everything very nicely. My son is going to culinary school and he was impressed with this as well. Great product, very glad I got it and recommend it very highly to all my friends.
