Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Vidalia Chop Wizard

Customer Review: 6 month life
Summary: 1 Stars

This item broke within 6 months of purchasing it. I used it to chop onions, which caused the pivot pin portion of the clear base to break. :-(

Customer Review: A Fun Chopper
Summary: 5 Stars

This Chop Wizard is great--and lots of fun to use. This chops and dices quickly and can be used anywhere--no plug ins. It's also great for getting rid of frustration, etc--just give the top a few good whacks each time you chop or dice and in no time you're feeling better!!

Customer Review: A Kitchen Staple
Summary: 5 Stars

My mom gave me the Vidalia Chop Wizard a couple years ago and I use it at least once a week! I thought it would be a pain to wash the pieces but if you wash them right after using it is simple to clean. We love it for hashbrowns using the small blade. I would definitely buy again and it makes a great wedding gift.

Customer Review: A kitchen gadget that works as advertised!
Summary: 5 Stars

After chopping more fingers than vegtables the past few years, I gave the Vidalia Chop Wizard a try. The day it arrived I put it to the test chopping onions, bell peppers, garlic and tomatoes. I came out of the entire process bandage free, with vegtables chopped to perfection and a great deal of satisfaction. The Wizard is easy to use and clean. It not only saves me from slicing up my fingers, but slices off valuable time doing what used to be a boring chore. I plan on buying some for Christmas gifts this year. An overall excellent product that does exactly what it advertises!!!!

Customer Review: A little too expensive for the price
Summary: 3 Stars

Tee product is good for items such as tomatoes but not for anything even mildly hard. My wife could cut tomatoes if she cut them to 1/4th the size with the chopper but it was very difficult to chop onions. She had to cut them to 1/8th to 1/16th the size to be able to chop them. The blades on the chopper are as sharp as a very cheap knife. I can glide my fingers accross them without worrying about my finger being cut. This would make a great product if the blades were as sharp as a decent knife. Definitely worth $19.99 if the blades were sharper or if you are really strong. I would not pay more than $7 plus tax for it as it is right now.
