(Actually my boyfriend is the cook, not me, so I'll mostly be paraphrasing what he's said about these knives).
These are not the overpriced, poorly-performing junk knives you'll find on QVC or in Bed Bath and Beyond in giant sets for hundreds of dollars. They're not decorative, they're not a status symbol. These knives are meant for real cooks in real kitchens who need great-performing knives at an affordable price. If you're serious about cooking and on a budget then don't hesitate to pick up one of these knives, especially this particular knife since a chef's knife is just about the most versatile knife you can own.

I own a number of great knives but this one REALLY shined doing preparation for 60 gallons of Venison Stew. The thin, sharp, and easy to maintain blade was great for cutting the many pounds of vegetables. It earned a permanent place in my cooking travel kit.Customer Review: A real spoiler

Yes, that's right. This knife is at least as enjoyable to use as my set of
Global knives. Perfectly balanced feel and sharp as a razor this is great
knife at a great price. I can see why these knives are always found in
professional kitchens. I can remember the days when I worked in
restaurants, and watched the salad chefs wailing away with these. Highly
recommended even at twice the price.

I bought this knife to try and free up some space in my kitchen. I've used it for everything from dicing veggies, mincing herbs, cutting meat, etc. Worked like a dream for all of them. This is a wonderful knife for the price. It's pretty much the only knife I use anymore.
