Description of Victorinox 3-1/4-Inch Serrated Paring KnifeIn 1884 Master Cutler Karl Elsner started his cutlery factory in Ibach, Switzerland and in 1897 he crafted the Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife. Since that time the Elsner family has continued to craft tools of percision, durability and quality. Victorinox is one of the largest producers of cutlery in the world. Victorinox cutlery has been distributed in the United States since 1884 to culinary professionals under the brand name R.H. Forschner. Each blade is stamped from a single sheet of metal. The blade is then hardened, tempered, ground, polished, etched and finished. Slice crisp slivers of Bosc pear and creamy Brie on a spring picnic with this quality paring knife from Victorinox. The original manufacturer of Swiss Army Knives, Victorinox has crafted high-quality cutlery in Switzerland since 1884. This versatile 3-1/4-inch paring knife cuts apples, cheese, carrots, and more--in the home kitchen or roadside. Hand-finished by the skilled cutlers at Victorinox, the blade is made of high-carbon stainless steel for hygiene, balance, and permanence. It resists rusting, staining, and pitting while maintaining sharpness. The blade is also stamped from a single sheet, and tempered via a unique procedure that creates durable edges able to withstand years of resharpening. After tempering, the blade is ground, polished, etched with the Victorinox emblem, and finished. The blade is serrated for efficient slicing, and a polypropylene handle offers users a comfortable, dependable grip. Victorinox?s included BladeSafe protector covers the blade and locks to protect hands from harm. This item measures 13.6 by 3.9 by 1.5 inches, weighs one pound, and is covered by a lifetime warranty. --Jessica Reuling
