Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Forschner / Victorinox Paring Knife, 3 1/4 in Straight, Small, Black Nylon Handle Model 40600Customer Review: GREATEST LITTLE PARING KNIFE EVER! Summary: 5 Stars
I love to cook and have been doing so for over 30 years now. I made a vegetable beef stew today. I could not find my usual paring knife and remembered that I had purchased this knife along with several other knives from Amazon.com a couple of months ago and decided to give it a try. Wow, was I impressed! This little paring knife seriously cut my potatoes like butter! The potatoes I used were brand new russet potatoes (not older soft potatoes) and this little knife just glided right through each potato. I highly recommend this paring knife. I promise you will not be disappointed.
Customer Review: Good Purchase. Summary: 5 Stars
My wife wanted a sharp paring knife for use in the kitchen. This was one of the gifts I gave her for Christmas. She is very pleased with it, says the knife is very sharp, and says that it exactly meets her needs.
Customer Review: Good Sharp knife Summary: 5 Stars
Nice sharp knife good for cutting tomatoes and other items like that, doesn't smoosh the fruit or veggie.
Customer Review: Good for what it is Summary: 4 Stars
This is a small, very sharp paring knife that's easy to use.
Because it's small, and the handle is narrow and light weight, the applications are limited to small and relatively soft items. The flexible blade is good for boning small items like individual pieces of chicken; it's also handy for working on jobs requiring a small blade such as coring strawberries.
I wouldn't recommend it when a stiffer blade is needed such as for cutting hard, or even semi-hard cheeses.
Customer Review: Good knife. Summary: 4 Stars
This is a good knife but not as good as the Chef knife that I got with it. Still better than average and it was less than 4 bucks!
