Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Vic Firth French Rolling PinCustomer Review: Love it! Summary: 5 Stars
I love the simple shape and design. I can easily manipulate it and get the thickness I desire from my doughs.
Customer Review: Love it!! Summary: 5 Stars
I just used my pin for the first time to roll out my sugar cookies. It worked wonderfully.
It is light weight but made very well. After reading a review from America's test kitchen on French rolling pins I knew I had to buy one. I am delighted with my purchase.
Customer Review: Makes the amateur feel good :) Summary: 5 Stars
I barely consider myself an amateur in the world of baking, just recently getting into pie crusts and foraying into breads, but I had a marble pin, which while beautiful, drove me mad! I will freely admit that it's probably user problems, but using this Vic Firth makes me feel like a professional. Smooth crusts... no problems with the dough sticking to the pin (unless I go mad with the liquid), and so easy to clean and maintain. Definitely a good buy!
Customer Review: Nice, but Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this for use in my home where a lot of baking is done. While it is nicely made, it is much narrower than others I've looked at, and lighter in weight. It is probably best for a small woman's hand, and not where a man will be using it. I was diappointed, ended up giving it away, and buying a different one.
Customer Review: No Paperwork Summary: 2 Stars
Product arrived Ok but I recieved no paperwork with it.I would have liked
a booklet with instructions on rolling dough with this style of rolling
pin.
