This product really works on any type of machine, even those without the three-way valve. The foamy solution will get up in the brewhead screen and all the holes in your portafilter basket, stripping them of rancid oils. I had my machine about a month before cleaning it, now I'll be using this every other week. Highly recommended if you want to keep your espresso tasting great!Customer Review: Keeps everything clean.

I think that this is made specially for some type of back-flushing procedure on espresso machines, but I use it for my regular coffee maker, my espresso machine, and all my travel mugs / thermoses. A small spoonful mixed into hot water gets absolutely all the coffee residue out. It was most fun the first time I used it on my well-used travel mug; the shiny black layer at the bottom that I thought would never come off was gone completely after an overnight soak! Coffee really does taste better when your equipment is clean; I think that's why I always preferred french press or pour-over drip coffee (those devices are easy to keep totally clean). This Cafiza allows me to enjoy the same taste out of my drip coffee maker, and there's enough in one container to last several years at least.Customer Review: Perfect Cleaner for Backflushing Espresso machines

If you back-flush your espresso machine often you may not fully appreciate how effective Cafiza is. I lost my back-flush insert (a.k.a. blind basket) about six months ago and only recently purchased a new one. Upon receiving the back-flush insert, I quickly tested it by doing a water-only back-flush on my Rancilio Silvia. The back-flush water was relatively clean considering it had been six months since the last back-flush. I then performed the typical Cafiza back-flush and noticed just how much residue this product actually removes.Customer Review: Use every other day to great results
