Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Urnex Cafiza, 20oz powder

Customer Review: Also cleans stainless steel Thermos
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought it for backflushing a Pasquini espresso machine and it works well for that, but I found out it makes the inside of my stainless steel Thermos as clean as new. Pour in a little powder, fill it to the top with steaming hot water from the espresso machine, and in less than 1/2 hour there are dozens of tiny streams of brown things (probably milk+coffee residue) that come out of the Thermos. No scrubbing needed. This, from a Thermos that is washed weekly and rinsed after use every day.

Customer Review: Cafiza by Urnex
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great product for cleaning coffee makers. It really works and it really cleans! It lives up to it's name and worth the 5 stars I have given it.

Customer Review: Coffeemaker shines like new!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Urnex Cafiza took away all the black gunk in my coffeemaker and was easy to use. It doesn't make the coffee taste funny if you follow the directions and run it twice with clear water.

Customer Review: Didn't realize my coffee maker was so gross
Summary: 5 Stars

Does the job. I clean my coffee maker, but I can't reach certain nooks and crannies. I ran a cycle and got so much gunk coming off, I was grossed out thinking about the junk I might've been drinking. Works best in hot water, and you only need a few sprinkles. We used this stuff when I worked at Starbuck's. Too bad it doesn't simultaneously descale (I use a 1/2 can of soda pop Saturdays overnight).

Customer Review: Good stuff!
Summary: 5 Stars

It's amazing how just a tiny pinch of this stuff works so effectively. With just 1/2 teaspoon in my blind basket and a few 10 second brew cycles, my espresso machine has never been cleaner. The first time you use it, you may be shocked to see how much crud it flushes out...subsequent cleanings will probably not be so dramatic!

I also soaked my filter baskets and portafilter in a teaspoon dissolved in a quart of hot water, and they came out looking like new. I'd previously tried a variety of cleaners, but was unable to remove all the brown stains.
