I am very pleased with our shooting star pop molds, at first I was a little concerned that they were too big(about 1/3c per mold) but decided to purchase them because they were the only molds I could find that were BPA free, but my kids handle them just fine (3 and 4 years old) I primarily fill them with yogurt smoothies and on rare occasions chocolate milk.
To release the mold I just run warm water on them for a few moments, or roll them between my hands for a little bit, on a hot day this really takes hardly any time at all. I have never had a problem.
I was so disappointed when one day one of the mold sheathings fell down in the dishwasher and the heating element melted a hole into it. In hope of replacing the single mold I called the Tovolo customer service number I found on the website and left a message asking how I could order a replacement. That same day someone called me back requesting my address, because they had found an extra that was just hanging around the office and wanted to ship it out to me at no charge! Thanks for the great customer service Tovolo! I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend your product to others.

I was very disappointed to find out that this product is made in China. Given all the headlines about poisonous items originating in China, the lack of honest oversight there, and no knowledge of the seller Tovolo's practices if any to test the quality and safety, I remain nervous about the molds. In terms of design, I like them. I like that they are individual, come with a stand for the freezing period, and can be washed in the dishwasher. I wsh I could feel confident about my family's safety as I use them.Customer Review: Hurray for Tovolo!

These popsicle makers are great. The kids were very excited about the shape. Remember to leave a small air space at the top for expansion. They take up a bit of room in the freezer but can be taken out of the holder after they are frozen. We like them alot.
