I like other reviewers have try all kinds of basters; cheap and expensive ones. I love amazon for the reviews and the reviews on this baster were right on. I tried it out Easter on lamb, ham and roasted potatoes. It performed flawlessly and I was even raving about it to my guests! The only option they could add would be a brush to clean it with. I already had one from a different baster so it didn't matter. Actually one of my other basters was a oxo and the neck kept slipping. But that may have been my fault; I notice the neck piece has to click in to have it secured in place. We will see. If it works, great. I'll have a baster for ovens upstairs and down. I'm not too happy right now, I just check the website to check on spelling for oxo baster and noticed the baster I just bought at 17.95 is now (and this is within a matter of days) available for 7.99 GRRRRR.

From tip to handle, Tovolo's dripless baster combines top-quality materials and thoughtful engineering to give hardworking home chefs a reason to celebrate. Built with a sturdy 18/10 stainless-steel barrel, the 11-inch baster features a strong nylon tip that is heat resistant to over 450 degrees F. With an angled cut, the design keep the cook's hands low and away from hot oven walls while increasing siphoning capacity and improving aim. An innovative silicone valve inside the tip holds juices in the baster until the bulb end is squeezed to give the chef maximum timing control. The bulb is made from food-grade silicone that is heat resistant to 800 degrees F and has a comfortable, contoured shape.
