I'm happy with this knife. It seems to be very solidly made. The blade is a bit thicker than my last boning knife, but it still works very well to get very close to the bone. So far I've used this on chicken, steak and my husband used it to carve a cooked turkey. The 6 inch long blade is long enough to easily remove the bones from a roast, and still short enough for control on a steak. The fact it's not as thin as regular boning knives while still being narrow enough to go around curved edges makes it feel stronger than other boning knives. I still prefer thinner knives for fish.
The handle is a slightly textured plastic that's very easy to grip and doesn't get slick if your hands are wet (I wash my hands a lot when I'm cooking). It's comfortable to grip for both my very small hands and my husband's large hands. That's essential in my kitchen and sometimes knives that work well for one of us don't for the other.
I wash it with hot soapy water and it gets clean easily. There aren't gaps where the handle and blade join. It's sharp enough for use straight out of the package, and I haven't had to hone it yet after a couple weeks of fairly regular use.
