Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Thermos Nissan FBB1000 34-Ounce Stainless-Steel Vacuum Insulated Briefcase BottleCustomer Review: Coffee still warn 10 hours later Summary: 5 Stars
I love this item. I put coffee in it every morning around 6:30 AM. It's still warm at 4 PM. That's all I needed it for, and it does the job.
Customer Review: Couldn't Be Happier... Summary: 5 Stars
Well, that's not entirely true. I'd be happier if my thermos never ran out of coffee.
Seeing as the odds of endless coffee are very unlikely, I love it just the way it is. I made this purchase about four weeks ago in the hopes of curbing my non-budget friendly, twice daily visits to the cafe downstairs... like magic! I haven't been back since this thermos showed up on my doorstep!
While I haven't done the 24 hour hot coffee test (doing good if my supply lasts 4 hours); I usually fill my thermos with hot water in the evening (god forbid I have an extra thing to do in the morning!), and the water is always still super hot 10-12 hours later when I'm ready to fill it with the good stuff. So... def suits my needs.
The size of the thermos is just right (2 1/2 to 3 mugs to get my day headed in the right direction). Maybe a little heavy to put in my purse when it's full, but I usually chuck it in my bag for the trip home. It has gotten a little dinged up, but I call that "character". It keeps my bevvies hot and doesn't leak at all. That's all I care about.
Customer Review: Disappointed Summary: 2 Stars
I am quite disappointed with the quality. I have purchased two of these and both have broken within one year each.
Customer Review: Dishwasher Safe? Summary: 3 Stars
The instructions included with this thermos state: Always wash the bottle by hand. Dishwashers can damage it.
Customer Review: Does not live up to heat retention as claimed Summary: 3 Stars
I purchased this product as it claimed to retain the heat of the fluid contained inside for a period of more than 10 hours. As instructed, prior to placing my coffee into the thermos, I fill it with hot water. After draining the hot water, I then fill it with the coffee and seal the thermos. As I leave my house very early each morning, I am filling the thermos with my coffee at 3:30 a.m. However, I do not actually pour my first cup of coffee until 7 a.m. While it is still warm, it is by no means as hot as the manufacturer claims that it should be.
