This is an excellent thermos if you plan to turn off your coffee pot, but keep your coffee hot! The vacuum seal keeps hot things hot for a good 6-8 hours versus the push top "vacuum" thermos that only lasts about 4 hours. This is the second thermos like this that we've had. They are great for camping, cold weather snowmachining, fishing and hunting! They are difficult to find, though.
