Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Thermos Nissan 18-Ounce Stainless-Steel Insulated Travel TumblerCustomer Review: Excellent coffee mug Summary: 5 Stars
I'm very happy with the mug, it's stylish, it keeps the coffee piping hot for hours and holds plenty for this java freak!
Customer Review: Excellent for Car/Work Summary: 5 Stars
Great for bringing coffee or cold drink from your home to work. Won't splash around and spill in the car. If you need to get something completely spill-proof, however, you will need something else. It will spill if you try putting it in a backpack or briefcase while walking or riding a bike.
Customer Review: Excellent mug Summary: 5 Stars
I didn't realise how much I had grown to love this thing until I lost mine. It keeps coffee hot for a very long time, I cannot hold it's insulating abilities in high enough regard. I was very relieved to find this cup is still sold, I would gladly buy it at twice the price.<br />

The lid is not spill PROOF, but it's spill resistant. If you drop the cup, it will spill, but it's more than adequate to keep liquid off the inside of a moving vehicle.
Customer Review: Excellent, if expensive, travel mug Summary: 5 Stars
A great, simple mug: it holds plenty of coffee; it doesn't spill when drinking and driving; it keeps coffee hot for the few hours I'm drinking it; it cleans easily without leaving an aftertaste; it's easy and comfortable to hold and drink from.
The single thing that makes it worth the money for me is the heat retention. In my experience it keeps coffee hot much longer than the $10-15 travel mugs you can get at places like Target. Those are what I've used for years, and I finally decided to try the more expensive one. I think it's worth the extra expense.
Every weekday morning I pour in 18 oz. of hot coffee at about 7:20. If I drink it steadily, with the stopper left open, it's still hot by 10am, when I'm finishing it. If I leave it more or less full, it stays hot into the afternoon.
I don't have serious needs for non-spillage, but it has never been a problem. There's no leaking at all at the seal where you screw down the lid. In my car's cupholder (Honda Civic), the mug rolls at about a 20 degree angle because it doesn't quite fit. Even when full, I've never had it spill in this situation because of the high walls above the mouth opening.
If I have any complaint, it's that when the mug is full, the liquid can glug a bit as it comes out, which can really burn your mouth. As far as I can tell, it happens because there's no little hole to equalize the pressure inside the mug. Putting less in or really sipping with care both help, but it seems like a design flaw.
Customer Review: Fantastic Thermos Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best Thermos I've ever had. Coffee stays hot for hours, especially if you pre-warm the Thermos with hot water before pouring in your coffee. I love it.
