I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son, and it arrived without the carabiner, which was a key feature that he wanted. I called Thermos customer service and had a bad experience: it took a long time to answer my call, they were a bit rude on the phone, they disconnected the call, then they offered to send a replacement carabiner in 14 days -- far too slow to meet my needs.
I use a company's customer service attitude as a good indicator of their products. If they don't take care of their customers, they probably don't design their products to meet customers' needs either.

I have used this thermos nearly everyday for a year. It is pretty much perfect and is definitely worth the price. It will keep coffee at a drinkable temp for around 6 hours. The thermos is very well built. I accidentally dropped it twice(while filled) from over 6 ft onto concrete and it didn't break.
The only bad thing is that the base does not fit into a car cupholder. But I suppose this is a trade-off for more stability when it's anywhere else.

This is the best travel mug I have ever owned. I use it every day and it keeps my coffee hot for hours. One great feature of this mug is that you can drink from it with the top on from all directions. If I have any gripes with this mug is that it keeps my coffee too hot; I often have to take the top off to cool it down.Customer Review: Best Travel Mug ever

This coffee mug is the best one I have ever purchased. It keeps my coffee hot for 6-8 hours. I love it. I have actually bought 4 of them, 2 for my husband who uses it daily and wanted a spare should he lose his and 2 for me for the same reasons. I am afraid it will no longer be available at some point and don't want to be without it. I have purchased many,many travel mugs and none can compare.
