This is a great travel mug. I especially like the 360 drinking capability (although that is less important for a mug with a handle, which always directs your mouth to the same spot).
I would have given this a 5 if it had an indicator on the lid for closed/open/remove.

After my Starbucks Chubby style mugs handle broke off the stainless steel exterior, which took several years, I tried replacing it with the same excellent product. They don't seem to manufacture this one anymore, so I ordered the Bodum Stainless Steel Vacuum Travel Mug with Silicone Grip from Amazon. It's a sleek looking mug, nice to the touch, but did not keep my coffee hot for very long, especially compared to the Starbucks thermal mug. I read the various reviews of other thermal mugs and decided to go with the Thermos E5 16 ounce leak proof Travel Mug. I received it yesterday and couldn't be more pleased. The top screws down to create a leak proof, heat holding seal. When the seal is loosened a bit you can drink from any direction (a new experience for me with a travel mug) and it feels lighter to the touch than the Bodum and Starbucks mugs. My only concern is about the rubber washer in the lid. I don't know if you can order spare parts from Thermos, but it may be a good idea to have an extra on hand for the eventuality of losing the original. Amazon got this to me quickly and is taking back the Bodum mug without question.Customer Review: A VERY GOOD PRODUCT AND LOOKS GOOD TOO

I agree with everything said about it including the criticisms. It does what it's supposed to do very well. I took it to work and a coworker wanted it just based on its looks. I told him Target carries it so he went to 2 Targets in the area but could not find it. I ordered it for him on Amazon and it came in 3-4 days (with free shipping).
Criticisms include small mouth making it hard to wash inside and the plastic ring that easily comes off the inside of the lid. Lose the plastic ring and you lose the vacuum seal.
Overall, I would say it's a solid 5 star product.

The mug is excellent at maintaining the temperature and doesn't leak when in transport. However, because of the small opening it is difficult to drink out of and difficult to clean. Need to take the top completely off to drink or it may leak (only when you least expect it.) Then, when you get to the bottom of the cup you need to tip your head way back to get the last few sips. The two O-rings that keep it from leaking in transport come off a bit too easily and are just waiting to get lost. I expect the mug will have a short use life because of this.
