Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Tater Mitts quick Peeling potato gloves

Customer Review: Tater mitts
Summary: 1 Stars

Tater mitts--This product did NOT preform as advertised. All I got was a messy potato with lots of skin still on. Tried on several kinds of potatoes and result wwas the same. Not happy with results and cost.

Customer Review: Tater mitts don't work
Summary: 1 Stars

I was so excited when I got my tater mitts, I really hate peeling potatoes and was looking forward to peeling a potato in less than 8 seconds. Don't believe it. This is the worst gadget thing I have ever gotten. This is even worse than the "Epilady" (if you bought one you know what I am talking about!) The box is misleading, It doesn't say a thing about having to boil the potatoes for 5-6 minutes before you use the gloves. Even after boiling the potatoes the things don't work well.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

These are too big and bulky - they are not very flexible so bending your fingers is difficult. I couldn't keep them on let alone try to scrub a potato.

Customer Review: They work for me
Summary: 5 Stars

I love to make mashed potatoes, but I absolutely HATE to peel potatoes. It would take me 30 minutes to peel until I found these gloves. If you follow the directions and cook the potatoes for about five minutes and then peel them, they work great. I am not sure why these have gotten such bad reviews and why would someone try to peel apples with "Tater" mitts? They are specifically made for potatoes.
