I've moved alot of heavy stuff with these handy slides. The large (7" diameter) ones work best. I find myself not using the smaller ones much, not that theres anything wrong with them. I've purchased some off brand clones at the dollar store but they are not even close to the quality of the original moving men. I think it is obvious but these should only be used on carpet. If used on a hard surface the bottoms get scratched making them not slide as well. I think every home should have these.Customer Review: A super help around the house!

I really love these things. I have them permanently set under both my bed and my couch--you can't see them. It would be impossible for me to move my sleigh bed around by myself without them. It makes it easy for me to vacuum under things and they are relatively inexpensive. I did have to trim the excess foam from around the feet of my bed--my cat has a sick love-vomit relationship to all things foam, and I had to get all the orange foam away from where he could bite/claw it.Customer Review: Alternate uses

The products are OK. They could be a bit thicker on the plastic and a bit more durable on the padding. They are bit "flimsier" for the furniture and heavy items.
We use them on lots of items and leave them these so we can move the heavy ottomans and recliners around. We have about 8 sets of these items some predate this brand. The early ones are not white and orange but dark beige with black inserts. These are better for the visible furniture. Perhaps Moving Men would make a version for constant use instead of just rare use.

My 85 year old father was recently diagnosed with liver cancer. Thankfully, our church was happy to deliver an 'electric chair' that could lay back, or literally rare up until Daddy's feet could hit the floor if he needed to walk somewhere though he couldn't use his arm strength to lift himself out of the chair. It is a HEAVY chair because it has a huge motor in it. The two men that delivered it could hardly get it in the door, much less move it around.
Well, a week after Daddy got the chair, he decided he wanted his old Lazyboy back in place where the new 'electric chair' had been placed because it's not too comfortable in the seat. My parents were all up in arms that they wouldn't be able to find ANYONE to help them move the chairs cuz all their friends are as old as they are, they didn't want to call back to the Church, and I'm their only daughter and don't have the muscle or the back to even get help to do it!
NOW HERE's THE REVIEW PART.......All I can say is that this product is SO SIMPLE, yet SIMPLY AMAZING and we moved the chairs in no time flat, even over Oriental rugs, with these great sliders. Now Mom is so excited, we're going to use the smaller set to move her china and curio cabinets around. As my janitors at school told me, "Work SMARTER, NOT HARDER!" Thank you, creators of the SLIDERS!!
