Just received this item last night.
After water reaches boiling point, it would not stop. It continues to boil, very loudly, and it would boil til it's bone dry if I let it.
Consequently, while it's boiling, it would not pump out any water. I have to unplug, allow water to cool, plug in the power cord, pump water before it reaches boiling point.
After I complaint to my family in LA, I was told they had the exact same problem with their purchase from a storefront just early this year, it just plain doesn't work the first time. So that's two strikes out of two.
