I have used hot shots for years. I would be lost without it. Every kitchen should have one. Great for instant coffee,tea,jello,soups, hot chocolate, and on and on. A friend introduced me to the Sun Beam Hot Shot a couple years ago. Before that time I would fill the kettle put it on the stove and wait for what seemed forever for the water to boil so I could finally enjoy a cup of tea. However with the Hot Shot all one needs to do is simply pour the amount of water the cup will require into the top of the Hot Shot, depress the activate button, and wait about 45 seconds or less...and wa-la...you have a cup of steaming hot water. It is worth every cent I paid for it and when I wear it out I will buy another one...as they are just wonderful.Customer Review: Great Product!

My only comment would be that some of my taller mugs don't fit in it.

This is a purchase to replace our dead water cooling dispenser. The cooler would dispense instant hot water which was nice but wasted electricity like a water heater tank unit. This unit was well worth it, we've had one of this at work for like 7 years now. The water will get hot fast. Wish it were a little bit bigger, my wife and I like big cups of hot drinks in winter. But I guess that would take away from the fast heating time. As fast as this heats, I don't mind the wait. Not as fast as instant heat like the water cooler, but for 1 -2 minutes it sure is faster than the kettle. Customer Review: Trash

Another piece of junk from China! I had the original model in white that was made in the USA, and it lasted twelve years, and worked perfectly. This unit lacks the quality and features of the older model, and leaks as other reviews have indicated. It also does not heat to the temperature as the original. Stay away from this product. The Sunbeam name means nothing now.
