This product is great value, costing about half of many competitors. It works well, produces great 1.5lb loaves (I haven't used the 2lb setting yet) and they even give you a little device for extracting the paddle once the loaf has been discharged from the bin. The settings are straightforward but watch out for resetting once you've used the timer. There is no memory, so you have to set the buttons at each use. This is the first breadmaker I own. It allowed me to make the first load of bread I ever made, and it was more than just edible! It makes bread-making easy and fun even. You cannot get a better or more versatile breadmaker for the price. I would have given it a 5 star but for the following shortcomings:
* The recipes in the user manual could be better.
* The machine has large footprint, taking up too much counter space.
* The beep is too high-pitched to be audible to my aged ears.

Just discovered that my hubby cannot eat gluten, so I had to find a bread machine to make him some gluten free bread. I've NEVER made bread before, machine or oven style so this was a first. The bread came out absolutely delicious!!!!!!! I used the light crust setting, and just hit the basic cycle for 1.5 loaf size. Took about three hours total, but produced wonderful tasting bread! i can eat gluten and had a hard time not eating all of his special bread =]. For the price, this breadmaker cannot be beat. Would recommend to everyone!Customer Review: Absolutely LOVE it!

DO NOT BUY A MORE EXPENSIVE MODEL. This one is PERFECT!!!!!! Make sure you shop THREE spots before you buy though. Amazon.com, Buy.com, and Walmart. The prices vary all the time. When I bought mine the price here on Amazon.com was nearly $75. I got mine from buy.com........SHOP SHOP SHOP!!!!
