When I saw these at a local store, I was skeptical, but bought a package anyway. They actually work! They keep the stuff in the car trunk from sliding around, even heavy stuff like tool boxes. Now I am thinking of getting another set for our other car.
The way they work: On the bottom side there are lots of tough plastic teeth that dig into the carpet, without seeming to damage it. We set one of them next to a tool box, with part of the tool box resting against the flat shoulder of the Trunk Eez. Thus, the tool box is kept wedged in against the forward end of the trunk. We use another one to hold a box of miscellaneous stuff in place. If you change your mind about placement, it is easy to pick them up and rearrange them.
I assume that these will only work well if your trunk has carpeting on it. If your trunk only has a metal or vinyl floor, without carpet, it might be possible to use velcro and adhesive to hold the Trunk Eez in place, but I doubt whether it would hold as strongly.
