This is a great idea, but short on execution.
The technology is limited, the vocabulary is very small.
For instance - "HAM" is not in it's vocabulary. For that matter - "MEAT" is not in there either.
For a list maker that is only 50% accurate, there should be a way to manually put in your items if not recognized. There is no manual option.
I would return it if I could - It definitely wasn't worth the money.

The Smartshopper deluxe organizes and prints your grocery list categorized by store aisle. Smartshopper is a convenient way to keep track of your errands and groceries. You can add items to your shopping list by simply speaking into Smartshopper's builtin microphone with state-of-the-art voice recognition. Using the easy-to-read led display, you can edit your list entries and customize your Smartshopper. As you enter items into your grocery shopping list organizer, they will be sorted based on categories such as fresh produce, dairy, canned goods, etc., so when you hit the print button, Smartshopper will have already simplified and organized your shopping trip for you. The Smartshopper is preloaded with 2,500 grocery items with space for 2,500 customizable items. In addition the new Smartshopper deluxe can now keep track of 2 different shopping lists and can be used also as a kitchen timer.
