I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife. It was a great idea (she said so), but this product was a loser because of its gargantuan size. Deviled eggs are a staple of special meals here, but with fridge space at a premium, there was no way she would let this over-sized egg keeper have an entire shelf. If the very tall lid were shorter, it would have had a chance, as it would have been stackable. Returned.Customer Review: WORKS WELL, BUT YOU'LL NEED LARGE FREEZER

THE IDEA FOR THIS ITEM IS EXCELLENT. I MAKE DEVILED EGGS FOR GET TOGETHERS FAIRLY OFTEN, AND THIS ITEM ENABLES ME TO TRANSPORT AND SERVE, WHILE KEEPING EGGS CHILLED. THE ONLY PROBLEM I FOUND, WAS THAT THE TRAY ACTRUALLY CONTAINS THE COOLING GEL, AND IT DOESN'T QUITE FIT INTO OUR FREEZER. WE HAVE A SIDE BY SIDE UPRITE FREEZER/REFRIG COMBO. WE HAD TO USE THE DOWNSTAIRS CHEST FREEZER TO FREEZE THE TRAY FOR TRANSPORTING USE. THEY MAKE SIMILAR ITEMS THAT ARE SMALLER. JUST KEEP THIS IN MIND IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS ITEM.
