Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Sharp R-216LS Compact Size 0.8 Cu-Foot Microwave, Stainless SteelCustomer Review: Great microwave oven for most budgets Summary: 4 Stars
It's not strong enough to make entire meals or cooking but this oven can warm up almost anything in 5 minutes and defrost it in 10 minutes. The wattage gets the job done and it's not too loud.
Controls might take a few minutes to learn, but they're very straightforward. Its only real downside beside its lower power is that it is quite big and can take up half a dinner table.
Customer Review: Great product for the price Summary: 4 Stars
So far so good! It is a bit flimsier than my prior microwave, which lasted for 16 years.
Customer Review: It Does the Job Well Summary: 5 Stars
The microwave had a strong review from others. It is quite attractive with the stainless steel. In actuality, the steel covers up what looks and feels like an ordinary inexpensive microwave. That said, it works great. The power is strong. The buttons are easy to push. Needed to return the first one because of a strange vibration. A replacement was immediately sent and it works perfectly. I am very happy with this product.
Customer Review: It corrected itself! Summary: 3 Stars
I ordered this Sharp because I wanted a small microwave similar to the one I was replacing....size was important. Looked great...BUT THE UNIT WAS SO NOISEY THAT I FINALLY CALLED TO GET A REFUND! As usual Amazon was great..they sent me a pp return to print...which I did...we looked at the bottom of the unit and found several screws loose. Took care of that and the carosal turntable was where the noise was coming from...then it began to quiet down....now it doesn't make the noise and I did not return it!!I still think it is great for the money and if you don't use it for "serious" cooking...It was not off the track as I know that noise...I don't know what or why....
Customer Review: It does the job Summary: 4 Stars
This is the "small size" but it does the job. Would like a bigger one, but space is a premium. Yes, it is only 800 watts and it takes a minute or so longer, but who is counting? The display could be brighter.
