I am a pre-diabetic, and am trying to lose weight. This scale has really helped to jump start my weight loss. I was at a plateau, but using this scale to weigh everything and keep track of my daily calories, carbs, fats, protein, and sodium has gotten me on the road to losing again.Customer Review: Helping Hand

My son was diagnosed with Type 1 in late July 10. Being that he can eat what he whats I still have to adjust his carb intake which the Salter scale helps us do this with ease. It was recommended by our Nutritionist at the hospital. Having this has made it easier for us to weigh his fruit and other items to make sure we are give him the correct dose of insulin. I still have to master the adding product in but I will get there.I hope to soon be able to get the travel scale so we have it for family holiday get togethers .

I have had this scale for several months and I LOVE it! I use it almost daily! I have used the recipe feature a few times and really love it. There are some calculations involved to enter the nutritional values of foods not found in the vast index of foods in this scale but those are not difficult calculations. I also really love the memory feature and use it when making a salad with many items. I can enter each item in memory and then get a total count for my whole salad! I recommend this scale! I bought my scale elsewhere and paid about $25.00 more for it than it is listed here on Amazon!Customer Review: It works well

I don't use this that much, but I do use it. I bought it for my wife and she loves it and uses it all the time. I find it a bit complicated to use or set-up recipes. I have tried some of the features to test it out but quickly lose patients. From what I have seem most are just like this one here. I gave it 4 stars becuase it does what its supposed to do and it has never failed. This thing has fallen off the counter many a time and still keeps on ticking. I would recommend it, my wife loves it and has recommended it to her friends.Customer Review: It's just okay

The scale is okay, but the LED readouts are faint and difficult to read. Also, I haven't been able to find every food that I've input. But it is relatively easy to use and it gives good detailed information on the items that I have found.
