Customer Review: A poor imitation of Bodum Double Wall Glasses

I originally purchased a smaller Bodum coffee press that was on clearance at Target; it came with two Bodum Pavina 8.5-Ounce Double-Wall Thermo Tumber/DOF Glass, Set of 2 for free and were amazing. I wanted to buy an extra set, but became turned off at the cost, so I did some browsing on Amazon to find cheaper alternatives. It just had to fit 3 requirements: Larger glass, similar temperature-sustaining ability, and stronger glass (one of my Bodum glass cracked fairly easily). The initial reviews for the product seemed positive, so I gave it a shot and decided to run with it for a few months and write my review based off of that experience:
1) They are strong. Well, as much as normal use would allow me to express. They haven't fallen, as I'm careful with any double-wall glasses I have, so they're fine in that regard
2) Double Wall Thermo feature is superficial at best. I gave it a few tries and almost excused the performance because it wasn't a Bodum-branded product, but after a while I just came to accept that any hot liquid would fog up the glass and allow a decent amount of heat to transfer through the glass and lose heat, and any ice-cold beverage would cause condensation and sweat.
The main reason why I wanted these glasses was to simply have a larger version of Bodum-style thermo ware, but I ended up just having two extremely large, cool-looking, but rather ineffective ones.
Thankfully, a few months later, Sir La Table had a clearance sale on their glassware, so I was able to nab 3 sets of Bodum Rigi Stacking Double-Wall Thermo Glass, Set of 2, Large , 11 oz Rigi glasses for [...] bucks per box [...]. Well worth it, in my opinion, and they get heavy use (the Rigi versions seem more durable than the other brand I had). I gave a set to my parents and I keep one at work and the remaining at home.
If you're looking for double-wall thermo action, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for just a cool effect of a column of liquid floating in your cup, then by all means, have at it.
