Nicely built, good power and the light is nice and bright. Simple manual switch to turn the light on. Excellent for what I need it for--checking tool edges for sharpness and bevel.
Why not 5 stars? Well if you look at the picture there is a small circle with two round holes. That's the battery compartment cover. To open that you use the included wrench. Its about the size of a dime with two pins on the edge. You fit the pins in the cover and turn to remove. If you loose the wrench when the battery dies no more light. Yes you could buy a jewelers pin wrench from Amazon or Garrett Wade but they cost rather more than this loupe does.
