I've had one of these from long before the "As Seen On TV" people got hold of it and I still use the original one (labeled a "Shime Shime NT45"). I've had to buy refill clips many times in the past 20 years and I have found the same stupidity the whole time. It is MUCH cheaper to buy a whole new bundler (which comes with 100 locking clips and 50 feet of strapping) than it is to buy one of these refill packages (which comes with 40 clips and 25 feet of strapping) (currently it's less than 1/2 the price per clip).

How dumb do they think we are?

As a result I have half a dozen of these Handy Bundlers sitting in a pile (since I only need one and just buy them to get the refills). Also, I use WAAAY more clips than strapping, so I also have a pile of strapping while I am now shopping for more locking clips. Why can't I just buy 500 locking clips? I have enough strapping to last until the next millennium.

Edit: It turns out that I found just the locking clips as product number LOAS NT45CB-1000 (original manufacturer Nirei, www.nirei.co.jp) from the Japanese Amazon site (it is listed but currently out of stock). I also found these clips on eBay in lots of 500 and the strapping in lengths up to 900'. Happy Shopping.
