Dad loves it. The cover snaps on, and when the cover is off the ridge that it snaps on provides an excellent hand hold. He has sugar problems and is starting to lose the feeling in his fingers. Our old butter dishes we turn upside down for him to grip the cover, this one is quite capable of doing that as well, tho we have not had to do that as of yet.
