Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Rotato Potato Peeler

Customer Review: LOVE THE ROTATO!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have 3 rotatos... 2 manual & 1 battery operated. When it is time to make applesauce, mashed potatoes for 50 people, or peel any kind of fruit & vegetable (I even do carrots!) this is the machine to use!

I have had 2 of them for many years & only gone through 2 blades each... Love it!

Customer Review: Life is much easier!
Summary: 5 Stars

Super product! Can now have "real" mashed potatoes! Due to lymphedema in my left arm, I could not peel potatoes, cucumbers, etc. -- now I'm a pro "vegetable peeler"!

Customer Review: Must have!
Summary: 5 Stars

Would not want to live without this! It is nice to have for potatoes but is a must have for pears! I canned 9 bushels of pears last year and the rotato makes easy work of peeling! I have used it for canning pears for about 6 years now and it makes it so much easier! The older ones were a little more durable than the newer ones and the blades last a long time (couple years) and my rotato gets heavy use! Would highly recommend this product!!!!

Customer Review: Not as good........
Summary: 3 Stars

I originally owned the electric version of the Rotato and loved it. I found the manual version to be difficult and not nearly as good. Used it twice and it now is a fixture in a corner of the cabinet.

Customer Review: One of the best indespensible kitchen inventions
Summary: 5 Stars

I love to cook, and this little machine has served me well for years. I purchased 2 times in my lifetime the more expensive apple-peeler-corer, and each time, the blades and mechanism somehow wear down, the apples slip, it's cumbersome to set up, and I end up throwing them away well before their time. I saw this Rotato on an infomercial years ago and got one for $10. The blades (original w/ the machine are as sharp as ever). Though I might have to core myself and peel the ends, I have found the reliability of this machine, the ease of getting it set up and out, the ease of cleanup, and the sharpness of the blades lasting a long time to be the true reasons why my family gets apple pies/cobblers and homemade mash potatoes and other potato dishes so often. I hate manual peeling, and this machine cuts the time incredibly. I wanted to get a couple for my grown children, and I just got online thinking that it might not be made anymore. I am so glad it is. It's worth far more than the minimal price it goes for!
