I received this item as a gift, and i have used it to peel not only potatoes, but carrots and apples too. The blades break easily though, so make sure you buy additional blades. Cleaning is easy to do. Great product. I would have preferred the rotato express though.Customer Review: Great product!

I bought one the first year they came out. My arm that the blades went on finally wore down , so that new blades wouldn't fit. So I had to get a new one , since I couldn't live without one! Hard to believe but the new design is even improved to be better. The weighted base is better & the black color is nice , too. The blabe on it when it comes is a dummy one , so be infomed to put on a new one. P.S. The new blades are in the under base.Customer Review: IT works

Go for it! This is one of the handiest gadgets we've ever bought. It works perfectly, and you won't believe how quickly you can get a bag of taters peeled for dinner. I'd suggest ordering extra blades "just in case." It does come with four extras in the base which I did not notice mentioned in the description here, but I wanted the extras on-hand because I know we'll be using this for a long time to come.
