I got this pot on a sale. The description states the Rick Bayless Bean Pot, Sol is a serving piece, so I didn't expect to use it to cook in. I love it as a cookie/cracker jar, with its scalloped rim and sunny color.

The Mexican Kitchen by Rick Bayless. An American chef who specializes in traditional Mexican cuisine with modern interpretations. Winner of the 2007 Outstanding Restaurant Award for his Frontera Grill in Chicago, this is Rick's third James Beard Award in his culinary career.
