I purchased the Rattan Shade Table Lamps and at first thought they were way too small but since we have bright overhead lights in the day room already, I found them to be perfect accent lamps for the room. They give the room a soft ambience and are nicely made and are great if you don't require a lot of light.

Very attractive and the shade makes for a lovely soft light. This lamp is more appropriate for a bedroom side table than anywhere else due to the softness of the light, but it has worked well for where we wanted it.

I saw it online and tried to find it in three Target stores before I finally gave up and ordered. True, the sturdy rattan shade obscures a lot of the light, but the light projected up and down is such a warm hue that it really adds ambience to the room. A small accent that makes a big statement!

For the price, the two lamps I purchased are actually what I expected...but I should have returned them right away when I saw how shoddily and poorly wrapped they were. It was obvious that they had been returned and not properly repackaged. As I tore the torn plastic away from the lamps, I worried whether they would function at all. They did. When I contemplated returning them, I was concerned that the shipper may have thought I had done a horrible job rewrapping them, so decided to give them a chance. Bad idea!

Nice looking, but because the shades are so dark a 40-watt bulb, the maximum one can use, seems to emit more like 10 watts of power. They are nothing more than night lights. I did expect that having the two on my storage headboard on my platform bed would at least provide enough light to read by, but if that's your plan, don't buy these. They're more ornamental than anything. If you have a dog and don't want to leave him/her in the dark when you go out at night, you can leave one of these on to provide minimum light...but so would a flashlight.

At this terribly inexpensive price, I should have known I'd get what I'd paid for. I only blame myself. If I still had the packaging, I'd return them immediately.
