Customer Review: 99.9% effective at keeping your eyes from tearing
Summary: 5 Stars
These goggles are great. I was able to cut 5 small onions withouth tearing. However, I did feel a slight burning sensation but not enough to cry.
PROS:
- It was 99.9% effective at keeping the onions from bothering my eyes
- It fit snuggly around my face
CONS:
- They cannot be used with glasses, so for a person like me who needs glasses, it's hard to see what you are doing, which means I have to get closer to the onion
- They are not adjustable
- They are annoyinig to clean because you don't want to dip them in water which will wet the foam so you have to spot clean them (I have to clean mine after each use)
My boyfriend purchased these for me. He intended to purchase a pair for himself but they did not fit snug to his face like it does for me. Instead he went to Home Depot and purchased a pair of tight fitting adjustable safety goggles instead (glasses can fit under these). He said those goggles did a good job for him when cutting onions; however when I tried his on they did not fit snug to my face so I prefer these onion goggles instead.
I think this is a great invention and I know I'll be using them a lot.
