Description of Chef Philippe Enamel 2-Piece Colander Set, Blue

The two colanders in this set include: a miniature 1-quart size for straining the water from a single serving of cooked tube- or shell-shaped pasta, mixed vegetables, or lettuce and a bigger 3-quart size to handle larger quantities (for two to four people) of the same foods. Perforations on these colanders are about 1/4 centimeter in diameter--so the colanders are not useful for draining cooked spaghetti or other skinny noodles as they'll slip right through. Metal handles on either side of each colander are designed to hold up over time.
